
WANKAVILKA PEOPLES GOVERNMENT COUNCIL
The Wankavilka Government Council is a grassroot organization made up of the Wankavilkas ancestral communes in the Guayas and Santa Elena regions of Ecuador.
The organization seeks to constitute itself as an alternative for the construction of a new narrative relating to their territories and ancestral peoples.
Colmena Lab cooperated with the Wankavilka Government Council on the following services:

The organization and production of a human flag as a symbolic action of resistance against racism, the discrimination due to the vindication of October 12, and conmemorating the Indigenous Peoples resistance.

This action counted on the participation of more than 200 young adults of the Black and Indigenous Peoples from all around Ecuador.

Graphic line and communication creation for the VI CONAIE's Youth Camp conducted in the Engabao Ancestral Commune.

The materials included: Image of the event, banners, roll up, folders, hats, t-shirts, IDs, and diaries.
