Building Biocultural Spaces: Digital Presence and Narrative for Pumamaqui
Pumamaqui Foundation
Country (ies): Ecuador
Scope: Global
Year: 2024
01
CONTEXT
The Pumamaqui Foundation drives innovation and sustainability to strengthen the harmony between people and nature. Its work combines conservation with improving community quality of life, promoting inclusive environmental governance, and equitable access to natural resources. In 2024, the institutional challenge was to turn that ambition into a digital presence capable of clearly communicating its projects and consolidating trust among allies, donors, and global audiences.

02
CHALLENGE
Moving from scattered communication to a platform that organizes the institutional narrative and makes complex projects visible—such as the Iloculin Llanganates Biocultural Reserve and the rewilding of public spaces—without losing depth. The challenge was to build an identity and a web experience that legitimizes, explains, and mobilizes support, maintaining a professional visual standard that is easy to sustain over time.
03
SOLUTION
A digital communication system (not just a website) was designed to elevate coherence, authority, and connection with key audiences:
- Narrative direction + graphic line: Developing a visual identity that reflects the essence of Pumamaqui and translates sustainability and environmental justice into a coherent, recognizable language applicable across multiple formats.
- Strategic web platform: Creating an institutional website adapted to the real needs of the Foundation, structuring information to communicate purpose, projects, approach, and evidence of impact.
- Connecting digital elements: Designing web resources geared toward inspiring participation and facilitating support, making the Foundation's vision understandable and actionable for diverse audiences.

04
IMPACT
The Foundation gained communication infrastructure to sustain positioning and growth, featuring public clarity and a global standard.

- Brand authority and coherence: Consistent visual identity that elevates professionalism and trust among partners.
- Mobilization and engagement: A digital experience designed to inspire action and facilitate connection with audiences interested in conservation and environmental justice.
