The Consejo de Gobierno Wankavilca is a grassroots organization that unites the ancestral Wankavilka communes in the Guayas and Santa Elena provinces of Ecuador. The organization seeks to establish itself as an alternative for creating a new narrative about its territories and ancestral peoples. 

Colmena Lab collaborated with the Wankavilka Government Council with the following services:

• Organization and production of a human flag as a symbolic action of resistance against racism and discrimination, on the occasion of the 12th of October and in commemoration of the resistance of Indigenous Peoples. More than 200 adolescents and young people from Indigenous and Afro-descendant communities throughout Ecuador participated in this action. 

• Creation of a graphic line and communication materials for the VI Youth Camp of CONAIE held in the Ancestral Commune of Engabao. Materials included: event image, banners, roll-ups, folders, caps, t-shirts, badges, and agendas. This service included participatory sessions with members of the Government Council and Wankavilka Youth. 

• Audiovisual documentation and video production of the IV Youth Camp of CONAIE and the human flag. 

• Preparation and management of a press release on the IV Youth Camp of CONAIE.

• Social media content creation. This service included participatory sessions with members of the Wankavilka Youth. 

• Management of digital communities of the Wankavilka Government Council. 

• Creation of a graphic line for the Wankavilka Youth Congress. This service included participatory sessions with members of the Government Council and Wankavilka Youth.

• Elaboration of a graphic line and communication materials for the Wankavilka Youth Congress. Materials included: event image, banners, roll-ups, folders, caps, t-shirts, badges, and agendas. This service included participatory sessions with members of the Government Council and Wankavilka Youth.

• Facilitation of a communication workshop and content creation for children and young people of the Ancestral Commune of Bambil Collao located in the Santa Elena Province.
